“HYPNOSIS: the most effective treatment you have yet to prescribe.”

what is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy combines hypnosis with therapeutic techniques to address a person’s issue or support them in moving forward towards a specific goal.

Hypnotherapy has a robust body of evidence supporting its efficacy in a significant number of areas including stress, anxiety, PTSD, depression, fears, phobias, hot flushes, weight management, sleep issues, habits, pain management, personal performance and much more.

In my not so humble opinion, the application of hypnotherapy is boundless and endless!

what is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a perfectly natural state and you will have accessed it on many occasions.

All you need to do is reflect upon the last time you were ‘in flow’. For example, you may have been totally immersed in a piece of work and the distractions around you ‘just fell away’. You may have driven a familiar route only to realise you were ‘day dreaming’ or maybe you were ‘in the zone’ during a recent workout.

A recent study from Stanford University evidenced how the brain ‘alters’ in a state of hypnosis, suggesting hypnosis enhances focus and reduces self-consciousness, creating an optimal state for change.

Some people liken it to the lovely state between being awake and asleep. You are always in control and will be aware of what is happening both in and around you. What I love about the state of hypnosis is that critical, over analysing, logical part of you takes a back seat and chills out, creating a fertile space for positive change.
